Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve: This is the park where most visitors will not miss,it is more exuberant given that it has the most primary forest, it also offers a trail with a fantastic hanging bridge from where you will able to get a better look of the forest and can’t forget to mention that it also offers due its altitude the Continental Divide from where you will have a panoramic view of the Atlantic, Pacific and highlands.
Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve: This Reserve has the highest altitude of them all and although is not as visited as the other reserves it is a unique place to explore, it gives a perspective of a much denser and deeper forest, is also quieter and a fantastic spot to listen to the tireless sounds of the forests.
Curi-Cancha Cloud Forest Reserve: This place is very liked by visitors since it offers more open spaces which allows to have higher changes to spot wildlife and hard to see birds, it offers a combination of primary and secondary forests as well as pasture fields, varying the ecosystems makes wildlife more visible. You can also enjoy the natural gardens and hummingbird spots.
Some other great places to go on hikes are the hanging bridges, you will find the best of them all at the Sky Adventures Park, better known as the Sky Walk and the Selvatura.

Curi Cancha is also known as a Bird Watchers Paradise because it offers easier trails to see and hear them! This is a smaller reserve compared to others in the area but offers a wide variety of nature and don't worry about the trails being crowded the reserve has a policy of a maximum of 50 people at one time at the park which makes it even more appealing, less people means higher changes to spot wildlife.

The Curi Cancha Reserve is one of the newest known reserves of Costa Rica, its history is quite interesting since a great part of it today (about 50%), used to be pasture territory, the Lowther family who owned the property since the 1970’s invested their care and time into making it grow to the forest we can admire today and be part of the other 50% which was virgin forest and still remains.
The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve was founded in 1972, it is a private reserve that belongs to a research, non profitable ONG whose main purpose is to protect the world’s famous cloud forest, its unique flora and many species of animals that find their home here.
One of the best ways to get to know the mist cloud forests in Monteverde is from above, closer to the clouds in the amazing hanging bridges at the Sky Adventures Park, on the sky walk.
